The Future of RGM Report 2027: The Findings, Discussed

20261104 Panel The Future of RGM Report 2027 The Findings Discussed

Live Webinar | Nov 4, 2026 | 4PM CET / 10AM EST

The hardest part of RGM is no longer the analysis. Most teams can model the decision. Getting the organization to act on it is where the work stalls, and the Future of RGM Report 2027 puts a number on how widely that is felt: cross-functional misalignment came out as the most cited barrier to scaling RGM for the second year running, named by 56% of the 107 commercial leaders surveyed.

Kelly Rolader has built and run RGM at BIC and The Coca-Cola Company. Ingo Reinhardt co-founded Buynomics and wrote The Pricing Playbook. He works with pricing and RGM teams across the world’s largest CPGs. They sit down with this year’s findings and work through what they recognize, what they would push back on, and what they would actually do about it. Why alignment keeps outranking capability as the thing holding RGM back. Why AI experimentation keeps outrunning execution. Why the capabilities teams plan to fund in 2027 are not the ones they say are blocking them today.

They also take on the shopper side of the report, where brand turns out to be the strongest value driver in only a third of categories analyzed, and private label keeps closing the gap on the rest. Not a readout of the survey. A conversation between two people who have made these calls with real portfolios, about what the findings mean for the ones coming in 2027.

What you'll take away:

  • Why alignment rather than analytics keeps surfacing as the barrier to scaling RGM, and what the teams that get past it do differently
  • Where AI is genuinely changing RGM decisions, and where experimentation has stalled short of execution
  • What brand’s narrowing role in shopper value means for portfolio and price-pack decisions as private label closes the gap
